Sheson Memory Patch

Does SKSE include Sheson's memory patch? - posted in Skyrim Mod Troubleshooting: Im coming back to Skyrim after a while and I want to make sure everything is up to date. I have the latest version of SKSE and I use Mod Organizer. Do I still need to apply that givefirstborntosheson=1 thing? This is how my skse.ini looks like: Display iTintTextureResolution=2048 General EnableDiagnostics=1. Thus, Skyrim modder ‘sheson’ has released a third memory patch that allows Skyrim to use that available space right from the start to fix ILS (infinite loading screen) without side effects.

And also using the Sheson memory patch (Google it) in the NVSE.ini file to look like: steam steamapps common Fallout New Vegas Data NVSE vseconfig.ini: Memory DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=496 scrapheapsizeMB=256 And finally, I am using BOTH the Sheson Memory patch heap replacement as shown above, together with the NVSR heap replacement.

Memory

Hi guys and girls!

Since i didn't saw any thread on it, i'm coming here to say that the Skyrim Memory patch from Sheson was ported to 'NVSE 4.2b4'. It didn't work exactly in the same way but it's very simple to activate.

All you have to do it's this:

Open the 'Data' folder of FNV, then go to the 'NVSE' folder and if it doesn't exist, create a new text file and name it: 'nvse_config.ini' (Not in the 'plugins' folder but in the 'NVSE' folder!)

Open 'nvse_config.ini' and add those lines:

[Memory]

DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=400

There is not many feedback for it but it seems to work, since i activated it, i had less crash. In conjuction, you can use this mod:

'Zan AutoPurge Crash Protector - New Vegas Edition' http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49319/

Patch

It's useful if your FNV get slow after playing 1 hour or more. I had this problem like many others and this mod help me a LOT with that. It has an MCM menu and it's fully configurable. Don't set the purge time too tight because it could break some active scripts (Nevada Skies is an example). The default settings works good for me.

And, that's it! Tchuss!

  1. Sheson's memory patch is an easy fix to most CTDs that allows your skyrim to run with twice as much memory in its first memory block.
  2. If you are using Mod Organizer, this is how you install Sheson's memory patch:
  3. 1) Make sure you are running SKSE and the Unofficial Patches.
  4. 2) Download [this](http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51038/?) ini file (or make one with the same settings).
  5. 3) Place the ini file in the /steamapps/common/Skyrim/Data/SKSE/ folder. If there is no SKSE folder in the Data directory, make one and place the ini file inside.
  6. Optional(Highly Recommended):
  7. If you want to confirm this memory patch is installed correctly, or just simply log your memory allocation when running Skyrim,
  8. I suggest downloading and using the [Memory Blocks Log](http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50471/?) mod.
  9. Once this is installed, it will produce a log of your allocated memory within the two memory blocks. If Sheson's memory patch was installed correctly, the first column will read
  10. 512 at the top, with the second column reading 256 at the top. If you are using this mod in Mod Organizer, it will produce the logs in your Overwrite mod each time you stop running Skyrim.
